Squamish Cafe

Fergie’s Cafe is open daily for fabulous breakfasts and lunches (9am-2pm weekdays/3pm weekends). Cozy up inside by the fire or relax on our sun-drenched deck and enjoy the fabulous views of mount Alpha whilst you feast on fresh, locally-sourced and lovingly prepared food.

Our blackboard menu changes with the seasons, here is a snapshot of what we have on offer for breakfast at the moment…

BREAKFAST Fergies

Why “Fergie’s”?  Well, before Sunwolf ever existed, it was a very well-known fishing hotspot called Fergie’s Lodge.  Fishermen came from all over BC and northwestern Washington to fish the Cheakamus, Squamish and Ashlu rivers for Salmon, Steelhead and Char.  Today, people are still coming to these rivers for the fishing, so why not give them something to relate to?  Fergie’s Cafe it is!

10 Mar ’11 · by admin · Sunwolf Eagle Floats

With the eagles leaving Brackendale at the end of February, we have stopped running our eagle float tours until December 2015 when the eagles will be returning. Meanwhile, do not hesitate to contact us regarding our other activities!

$100/person  ($65 for children under 12)
Trips depart daily from Sunwolf at 10am.

The Scoop:

Every year, Brackendale hosts one of the largest populations of bald eagles in the world. In 1994 the highest concentration of bald eagles ever counted gathered here – over 3700. Starting in mid November and continuing through February these magnificent birds feed on the salmon that spawn in the glacial fed Squamish and Cheakamus rivers. During this spectacular season, Sunwolf provides the opportunity to view the eagles from a remarkable vantage point – the river.  As you gently float by, our experienced and knowledgeable guides will educate you about the life cycle of the bald eagle and the salmon it depends upon, along with the incredible flora and fauna of our environment.  This is a wonderful trip for all the family, especially those interested in wildlife viewing, bird watching or photography.

Our Eagle Viewing Floats finish at Sunwolf’s cozy riverside lodge, where we will serve you a hearty bowl of steaming chili beside the fire.  Bring your bathing suit and enjoy fantastic views of the Tantalus Mountain Range from our hot tub!  Trips depart daily from Sunwolf at 10am.

Included:

Coffee, tea, hot chocolate & baked goods on arrival
Homemade chili & desserts for lunch (veggie options available)
All necessary rain gear & safety equipment
Professional & Knowledgeable River Guide
**Pickups Available from Whistler, departing from Gone Bakery at 9am!
