Mountain Biking – Cross Country, Downhill or Freeride. Welcome to the home of some of the greatest mountain biking in Canada. Squamish offers a huge variety of trails for mountain bikers of any experience level.
Fishing – Before Squamish was discovered as an outdoor recreation mecca, it was a world-renowned destination for anglers. You can fish right here at Sunwolf off the banks of the Cheakamus River. Be sure to pick up a copy of the local fishing regulations to find out what’s in season and which species are catch and release only.
Hiking – There are dozens of great hikes here in Squamish, ranging from easy walks, to strenuous backcountry adventures. A few include; Stawamus Chief, Four Lakes Trail – Alice Lake, Elfin Lakes, Brohm Lake, Garibaldi Park, and not to mention all the new great hikes at the top of the Sea To Sky Gondola. Due to the mild coastal climate of the area, many of these hikes can be walked all year round. Ask our team about hiking trails in the area.
Climbing – Squamish is considered to be one of the top rock climbing destinations in Canada. The most famous area is the Stawamus Chief, the second largest granite monolith in the world with enough routes to keep anyone busy for years. New to climbing? Wind Surfing & Kite Boarding – The Squamish Spit at the mouth of the Squamish River provides perfect conditions for wind surfing and kite boarding.

West Coast Railway Heritage Park – The perfect family destination. Home of the Royal Hudson steam locomotive, as well as Western Canada’s largest collection of Heritage Railway Equipment.
Britannia Mine Museum –less than a hundred years ago, this was the largest copper mine in the British Empire. Today, it’s a National Historic Site and a bustling, award-winning Museum. Wander freely and examine much of the mine’s equipment left onsite.
Bring your swimming costume! Not only do we have a hot tub on our deck here at Sunwolf but just 10 minutes away, you can swim and relax with a picnic at Alice Lake. Squamish also has a great indoor swimming pool at Brennan Park Recreation Centre.

Tasting at Gillespie’s – Gillespie’s is a local craft distillery in Squamish, BC. Serving hand-crafted gin, vodka, speciality liqueurs and whiskey – all available to be sampled first-hand at Gillespie’s tasting room here in Squamish.
How about some Live Music? The Brackendale Art Gallery is a center for the arts in Squamish – it’s licensed and offers food, gallery exhibits, concerts and theatre. Check out the Sunwolf Notice Board for ‘What’s On’ during your stay.
